Bredonborough A grey day Rising

09.47

Bredonborough.

A grey day.

Rising at 07.00 and down to a WillyFred who is not eating. A (likely) abcess in the root of a tooth is likely causing pain. Wilf is otherwise healthy and sprightly. The Minx is hand-feeding him.

Into the Cellar for morning reading…

11.53    Oh no! AOL has shut me out. There seems to have been suspicious activity and my security questions are being rebuffed.

17.40    MinxLunch by the back door with sunshine and a few specs of rain. A day mostly of addressing and updating technology.

We have been invited to visit a local garden and are being collected on the front doorstep by Matthew the Head Gardener at 19.00.

21.42    Matthew arrived punctually and carried us off to the garden in a nearby village, where he has been working for the past twelve years. The garden is opening this weekend as part of the Open Gardens scheme. We were met by the family of the house, treated with impressive cordiality, and given a tour of the exceptional garden and house.

A superb evening of the local kind.
